Terms of Service — Granada Noticias
These Terms of Service govern the contracting of the subscription plans of the digital newspaper Granada Noticias (hereinafter, "the Platform"). Subscribing to any of the plans constitutes the contracting of a digital content access service in exchange for a fee, provided by Granada Noticias to the user. By subscribing to any of our plans or interacting with our platform, you fully accept these terms.
1. Legal Information and Ownership

2. Purpose of the Subscription Service
Subscribing to Granada Noticias allows the user to access subscription-locked content and other benefits detailed on the subscription page. For the purposes of these terms, "subscription content" means any article, publication, or element of the Platform whose access is restricted and reserved for users with an active subscription. Access to this content is digital and immediate after payment confirmation.
Access is granted under a personal-use license, under the terms of clause 7 of these terms, and in no case does it imply the transfer of ownership or any exploitation rights over the content.
3. Registration and Access via Google OAuth
To facilitate and secure access, Granada Noticias uses the Google OAuth authentication system.
When you register or log in with your Google account, you agree that we receive your basic public information (name and email address) exclusively to manage your account and subscription on our platform.
The user account is personal, individual, and non-transferable. It is intended for the exclusive use of the natural person who holds the subscription.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google account, and you are solely responsible for any activity carried out under your profile in Granada Noticias.
Sharing, assigning, lending, renting, or selling access credentials or the account to third parties is expressly prohibited, under the terms of clause 7.4.
4. Prices, Taxes (4% VAT) and Payments
Prices and Currency: The prices applicable to each subscription plan are those indicated on the website at the time of contracting and are shown in euros (€).
Reduced VAT Rate (4%): In compliance with Spanish tax regulations, digital newspaper and magazine subscriptions are subject to the super-reduced VAT rate of 4%, in the same way as printed press. All prices shown on Granada Noticias already include this tax.
Payment Gateway (Stripe): All payments are processed through Stripe, an external payment platform that meets the highest standards of security and encryption (PCI-DSS).
4.1. Processing of card data
Granada Noticias does not store or have access at any time to the full data of your credit or debit card (full number, expiration date, or CVC/CVV security code). These data are entered and safeguarded directly by Stripe in its secure environment.
However, for security, fraud prevention, transaction identification, and the management of refunds, recurring charges, or incidents, Stripe retains certain identifying data of the payment instrument, including the last four digits of the card, the brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), and the country of issue. Granada Noticias, as the merchant holding the Stripe account, has access to this partial information associated with each transaction carried out by the user when contracting the subscription, solely for the purpose of managing the contractual relationship, invoicing, and any claims or refunds.
By subscribing, you accept Stripe's own terms of service and privacy policy.
5. Automatic Renewal, Cancellation and Subscription Management
Automatic Renewal: To ensure uninterrupted service, subscriptions (monthly or annual) will renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. The amount will be charged to the payment method provided through Stripe.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Granada Noticias subscription panel. Cancellation will prevent future charges and your access to subscription content will remain active until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.
Effect of Cancellation: Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, with no refund of the proportionate part of the price already paid, except in the cases provided for by the applicable consumer and user regulations.

6. Exception to the Right of Withdrawal
European and Spanish consumer protection regulations (Art. 103 of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users) establish a 14-day right of withdrawal. However, since Granada Noticias provides digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, by accepting these terms and beginning to enjoy the subscription content immediately after payment, the user expressly consents to lose their right of withdrawal.
7. Intellectual Property, Personal-Use License and Prohibition of Redistribution
7.1. Ownership of the content
All content published in Granada Noticias —including, without limitation, articles, reports, interviews, chronicles, analyses, newsletters, photographs, illustrations, infographics, videos, audio, databases, trademarks, logos, and the platform design— is owned by Marc Navarro Bros (Granada Noticias) or by their respective authors or licensors, and is protected by Royal Legislative Decree 1/1996, which approves the Revised Text of the Intellectual Property Law, as well as by the applicable national and international regulations on intellectual and industrial property.
Contracting a subscription does not transfer to the user any intellectual property right over the content, nor any right of exploitation, reproduction, distribution, public communication, or transformation.
7.2. Strictly personal-use license
Granada Noticias grants the subscriber user a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and strictly personal license to access, view, and read subscription content through the platform, exclusively for private, individual, and non-commercial use, while the subscription remains active and paid up to date.
Each article or publication locked behind a subscription is subject to this personal-use license. The license automatically terminates upon cancellation, expiry, non-payment, or suspension of the subscription.
7.3. Express prohibitions
The redistribution, dissemination, or making available to third parties of Granada Noticias subscription content is strictly and totally prohibited, by any means, format, or medium, whether for payment or free of charge. In particular, and without limitation, the user may not:
Reproduce, copy, download, print, record, or store subscription content for any purpose other than private reading.
Send, forward, or share subscription articles, in whole or in part, with third parties by email, instant messaging (WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and similar), groups or broadcast channels, SMS, or any other communication channel.
Publish, upload, or reproduce subscription content —or screenshots, transcripts, photographs, or literal copies thereof— on social networks, blogs, forums, websites, apps, news aggregators, newsletters, other media outlets, or any platform accessible by third parties.
Copy and paste the text of subscription articles into any document, publication, group, or communication addressed to third parties.
Distribute, commercialize, resell, assign, rent, or otherwise economically exploit the content, or use it for commercial, advertising, or promotional purposes.
Transform, modify, translate, substantively summarize, or create derivative works from the content.
Remove, alter, or hide copyright notices, author signatures, watermarks, or any identifying or traceability element incorporated into the content.
Use automated tracking systems, massive data extraction (scraping, crawling, data mining), or use the content for training, fine-tuning, or feeding artificial intelligence models, generative systems, or third-party databases, without the prior, express, and written authorization of Granada Noticias.
Present the content as your own or claim authorship of it.
Bypass, disable, or attempt to breach technical protection measures, paywalls, access blocks, or platform control systems, or provide third parties with tools, instructions, or methods to do so.
7.4. Prohibition on account sharing
Access to subscription content is linked to a single Google account, for personal and non-transferable use. Sharing the Google account associated with the subscription with any other person is expressly prohibited, as is providing its credentials, assigning it, lending it, renting it, selling it, or allowing third-party use of it, even if they are family members, friends, or coworkers.
Granada Noticias may establish reasonable limits on simultaneous sessions or devices and will consider concurrent use of the same account from locations, networks, or devices clearly incompatible with individual use as evidence of a breach.
7.5. Permitted uses
The following are permitted:
Sharing the public link (URL) to the platform or open-access content.
Exercising the right of quotation recognized in Article 32 of the Revised Text of the Intellectual Property Law, by using brief excerpts for purposes of analysis, commentary, or criticism, always clearly indicating the source ("Granada Noticias"), authorship, and, where possible, a link to the original article. This right does not cover the full or substantial reproduction of the article.

7.6. Traceability measures
Granada Noticias reserves the right to incorporate watermarks, unique identifiers, codes, or other technical traceability mechanisms into subscription content that allow the origin of an unauthorized leak or redistribution to be determined, as well as to retain the technical access logs (logs) necessary to prove it.
8. Breach of the Terms and Applicable Measures
Granada Noticias expressly reserves the right to adopt all measures it deems appropriate against any user who breaches these Terms of Service and, especially, the obligations established in clause 7. These measures may include, individually or cumulatively and without prior notice when the seriousness of the case so justifies:
Warning the user and requiring immediate cessation of the infringing conduct and removal of the disseminated content.
Temporary suspension or blocking of access to the account and subscription content while the facts are being verified.
Definitive cancellation of the subscription and the account, with the consequent immediate loss of access, without any right to a refund of any amount already paid, as this is a termination due to a cause attributable to the user.
Banning the contracting of new subscriptions by the same person, email address, or payment method.
Pursuing any legal actions available, whether civil, criminal, or administrative, including those provided for in the Revised Text of the Intellectual Property Law, in Law 3/1991 on unfair competition, and in Articles 270 et seq. of the Criminal Code, relating to offenses against intellectual property.
Claiming the damages caused, including loss of profit, direct damage, reputational harm, and the costs of legal defense, attorney, court representative, and expert assessment that may arise.
Reporting the facts to the competent authorities or to the platforms where the content has been improperly disseminated, for the purpose of removal.
The adoption of any of these measures does not exclude or limit the simultaneous or subsequent exercise of the others, nor the full recovery of damages caused. Granada Noticias's occasional tolerance of a breach shall in no case be understood as a waiver of its rights.
9. Donations and Voluntary Contributions
In addition to subscription services, the Platform allows users to make monetary donations freely and voluntarily. In accordance with Spanish law (Civil Code), these contributions are irrevocable donations, are non-refundable, and do not entail the acquisition of any service, product, access to subscription content, or consideration of any kind. Likewise, in compliance with Law 10/2010 on the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, the user undertakes that the contributed funds come from lawful sources, and the Platform reserves the right to request additional information for high-value donations if required by the competent authorities.
10. Privacy Policy and Billing Data
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish data protection regulations (LOPDGDD), as well as current tax legislation in Spain, we inform you that we collect the personal data necessary to manage your access and comply with our tax obligations. This collection is carried out through the secure Stripe payment platform (a duly authorized and legal platform in Spain).
In order to process payments and issue the corresponding legal receipts or simplified invoices, the requested data vary depending on the transaction:
Subscriptions: The email address is required to grant access to the service and send you the receipt or simplified invoice.
Donations: The email address is required to process the contribution and send, where applicable, the corresponding receipt of receipt.
This data will be used exclusively for administrative, accounting, and tax management tasks, as well as for managing the contractual relationship and, where applicable, for proving breaches of these terms. It will only be disclosed to tax authorities (Tax Agency), courts and tribunals, or third parties when there is a legal obligation to do so or when necessary for the exercise or defense of claims.
11. Changes to Terms or Prices
Granada Noticias reserves the right to modify subscription prices or these terms. If a price change occurs, we will notify you via the email associated with your account at least 30 days before your next billing date. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect.
12. Partial Invalidity
If any clause of these terms is declared null or unenforceable by a competent authority, the remaining clauses shall remain fully valid and effective, and the affected clause shall be interpreted or replaced in the closest possible manner to its original purpose.
13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute that may arise in the interpretation or application of these terms, both parties submit to the Courts and Tribunals of the consumer's domicile, in accordance with current regulations. If you access from outside Spain, jurisdiction shall be that of the courts of Barcelona.
